A one-day retreat for women, designed to give you the kind of slow that's hard to find in real life.
This is for women who've been running on full for too long. You might be a mother juggling everyone else's needs before your own. A leader at work whose calendar leaves no room to breathe. A carer for someone you love. Or a woman who looks fine on the outside and quietly knows she isn't.
Experience a carefully curated retreat day that embraces slower living practices. The intention is to offer an experience that promotes digital detox, nervous system regulation, gentle movement, and meaningful learnings and reflections, all woven together with calm bonding experiences. The goal is to leave you with a real sense of calm, clarity, and connection to take back into your everyday life.
If the words overstimulated, overwhelmed, burnt out, exhausted, or disconnected resonate, this retreat may be exactly what you need.
Above all, you long for some moments of stillness and time for yourself, where you can immerse yourself in the present and gift yourself a wholesome experience. Prioritise you. Challenge your current pace. Retreat and embrace simplicity.
You don't need to be in burnout to be here. You just need to feel ready to stop, even for a day, and remember what stillness feels like in your body.
You might have been feeling:
Overwhelmed, overstimulated, or running on empty
Like you haven't been able to prioritise yourself in a long time
Like you're craving time to be present in the moment and to take a deep breath
Like you want an uninterrupted day with friends, or with your own company
Slow living is an intentional approach to life that prioritises presence, simplicity, wellbeing, and genuine connection over constant productivity and overstimulation. Inspired by Mediterranean lifestyle principles, it encourages us to slow down, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with what actually supports our health and happiness. Combined with a digital detox, it creates space to step away from burnout culture, constant notifications, and the pressure to always be “on,” allowing you to rest, reset, and reconnect with yourself, nature, nourishing food, and real-life connection.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
-
Arrival, welcome, and a slow flow yoga session to ground into the day. All levels welcome. We'll move, stretch, and set intentions for the time ahead. Followed by a nourishing breakfast made with the season in mind.
-
A full-body Pilates session led by Nickee, owner of Ha Wellness. Functional, considered movement designed to leave you feeling long and strong. Followed by a nutrient-dense lunch built around nourishment and fueling
-
A 60-minute women's wellbeing workshop, with a journaling exercise, led by me. Followed by your own time. Sauna. Hot tub. Plunge pool. The fire. A walk through the property. Rest, journal, or simply do nothing. This is your space to take a moment to breathe and be still.
-
A closing yoga nidra and afternoon treat to leave you deeply rested and restored before heading home with a fuller cup.
WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
A full day woven from gentle movement, deep nourishment, considered learning, and unstructured stillness. Loose timing so you can sense into how the day unfolds, not watch a clock.
By the time you leave, you'll have:
A full day's experience of what real stillness feels like in your body, not as an idea but as something you've actually felt
A regulated, rested nervous system after hours of stepping back from your phone and the constant pull of daily demands
A clearer sense of what's been driving your sense of overwhelm and what to do about it
Practical learnings and reflection you can keep practising in daily life, not just on retreat
A small group of women who understand what you're working with
The kind of calm that doesn't end when the day does
This is the work of breaking the cycle of overwhelm and burnout. By reminding yourself why prioritising you feels so good.
THE SPACE
A countryside log house just twenty minutes from Tauranga, with vast views over the Whakamarama bush. Complete with a stunning four to six person alpine sauna, hot tub, plunge pool, and bath overlooking the forest and the vast view of Mount Maunganui.
The setting itself is part of the work. The space is what allows the slowing down to happen.
YOUR HOST
Founder of Live Well Holistic Health and creator of the day.
Drawing on over a decade of clinical experience alongside my own lived health journey, I bring together behaviour change, nervous system support, nutrition, lifestyle, and yoga into a way of supporting women that's grounded, considered, and built around real life.
I'll be leading the day's wellbeing workshop, hand making the food, and guiding you through the day.

FAQs
What about my phone?
The day is designed around being offline. Stepping away from your phone is strongly encouraged, because it's where the real reset happens. That said, it isn't enforced. If you need to stay reachable for childcare or anything else, that's understood. The invitation is simply to step back from it as much as you genuinely can, and let the day do its work.
Is the food suitable for dietary requirements?
The majority of food is gluten free, and all of it is refined sugar free. Please let me know your dietary requirements at the time of booking and we'll make it work.
What should I bring?
Detailed information will be sent to you in an email after you book.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. Many past attendees have come as a small group of friends. Many have also come alone and enjoyed either meeting other women, or having the time to themselves. Both work beautifully in this kind of day.
What if I've never been on a retreat before?
You're very welcome. The day is designed for women at all stages of this kind of work. There's no expectation of prior experience with yoga, Pilates, or meditation. Just turn up.
When's the next retreat?
